prep.lab is an early-stage, bootstrapped startup based in India, building an AI coach for interviews and professional conversations.
Why we are building this
Most people who struggle in an interview are not short of experience. They are short of the right words at the right moment. Under pressure, a strong career turns into a rambling answer, and a decisive story loses its point.
prep.lab closes that gap. It prepares answers from your own resume and the role you are aiming for, sized to the question, and helps you practise saying them clearly. The same engine guides professionals through client calls, where a short, accurate reply matters more than a long one.
What we believe
- Your story, not a template. Answers are built from your real background, so they sound like you.
- Short beats long. A clear three-sentence answer beats a perfect paragraph nobody can say out loud.
- Accuracy over confidence. If a fact is not in your material, we would rather leave it out than guess.
- Privacy by default. Your documents travel over encrypted connections, are deleted after a fixed period, and are never used to train AI models.
Where we are
We are bootstrapped and in early development, building closely with our first users. That means fast changes, direct feedback, and a product shaped by the people who use it. prep.lab is free during early access.
Next on the roadmap: AI mock interviews that ask follow-up questions, feedback reports after each practice session, a question bank by role, and more languages.
